Travel from Leipzig to Dubrovnik by airplane

Starting the journey in Leipzig is the most convenient option, but it is quite expensive because there is no direct connection between Dubrovnik. Most flights make a stopover in Frankfurt/Main. A cheap option is for example:

Travel from Frankfurt/Main to Dubrovnik

For all foreign participants Frankfurt/Main is probably the best choice, because the most international round-tips end there. Flights are a bit cheaper but you have to travel by train from Leipzig to Frankfurt/Main airport.

Regular train tickets are quite expensive. However, if you book in advance there are a limited amount of discount options available. The have some limitation but they are much cheaper - e.g. 56 € for Frankfurt to Leipzig and return in contract to the regular price approx. 110 €. If you travel in a group it is even more cheaper. Travel for Students

For all students (up to 99 years :-) who which to participate the in KF’08 I highly recommend the online booking portal STATRAVEL. They have very special rates for students, which are much cheaper than the normal prices, e.g. travel by airplane from Frankfurt/Main to Dubrovnik is only 202 € . You only needs an international student id.


Travel from Cologne-Bonn to Dubrovnik by airplane (cheapest option)

In addition there is an interesting alternative. The German low coast carrier (German Winges) offers a much cheaper option. The drawback is, that the airport Cologne-Bonn is situated in the west part of Germany (e.g. 5,5 hour to travel from Leipzig, but only 1,5-2 hour away from airport Frankfurt / Main.
