In addition to the usual academic practice of developing and publishing contributions to knowledge federation, under the title "Self-Organizing Collective Mind" our second workshop took up a design task - to design a knowledge federation. The medium, and the model, is be our own community, augmented by available knowledge work tools, and others that we are developing ourselves. This design process is now on-going.
Our strategy has been to secure synergy of all elements - academic, entrepreneurial, media, social, ambiental and artistic.
- Article Federation - by using our own workshop articles as sandbox, we are designing ways to federate research articles — by for ex. extracting key ideas, presenting them as images and networks, linking them to other related ideas, developing insights or gestalts, sending them to communities where they may be of interest, and to journalists.
