BCN2011 Report
From Knowledge Federation
(Redirected from BCN2011-Report)
The Knowledge Federation Workshop Barcelona 2011, titled “Co-Creating an Innovation Ecosystem for Good Journalism” (BCN2011) was a true road test for Knowledge Federation. What has been co-created promises to become a nearly perfect prototype of knowledge federation practice. Here we give pointers to the main building sites and objects.
- We describe the results of BCN2011 – and develop them further – by co-creating the BCN2011 meta-article. We then co-create articles, project proposals etc. by combining and editing suitable parts of the meta-article, and including or consulting their authors. In the context of the transdiscipline, the meta-article presents a natural tool for co-creating and articulating ideas and solutions.
- The innovation ecosystem (alias transdiscipline) needs to develop its own body of knowledge; we do this by developing the Good Journalism Domain Map – a visual map reflecting the structure of the domain of knowledge, and organizing its main resources.
- The innovation ecosystem needs a way to formulate challenges and orchestrate its own innovation procedures. We do this by using the Knowledge Federation Induct Open Innovation platform (Induct inc. was a BCN2011 Corporate Stakeholder).
